Why do I need to provide my credit card information to book an appointment?

We’re glad you asked! While many of our guests are deeply respectful of our time, it is unfortunate that there are some who do not respect the appointment process. At Artistry Hair Company we are fortunate to serve many guests, some of whom wait several weeks or even months, for an appointment. We kindly ask for your up-to-date credit card information to ensure your scheduled booking, and in order to protect the valuable time of our team. For more information, please refer to our cancellation policy.

*Credit Card Security – Credit Card Storage, Reservations and Merchant Processing: Our booking system is proud to be Level 1 PCI compliant–the highest form of credit card security in the industry–which means that we encrypt all customer credit card data stored in our system.

What happens if I don’t love my hair?

At Artistry Hair Company, we understand that sometimes small adjustments here and there may be needed to reach your hair goal. That’s why we’re always here to go above and beyond so that you’re loving the result of your hair. As a small business, we want to hear from you, and genuinely want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to make things right.

If ever you’re not fully loving your hair, don’t hesitate and don’t second guess - reach out to us directly. We kindly ask that you please reach out to us within 2 weeks of your original service so that we can do everything we can to have you feeling and looking like your very best self! Your adjustment will be complimentary with the same stylist you received your initial service with.

What is your cancellation policy?

Imagine your boss calls you and tells you that a meeting that has been scheduled and set to take place in 2 hours will not be taking place and that you will now not be paid for that 3 hours... someone just impacted your pay, and there's nothing you can do about it.  When you cancel without us being able to fill your spot (less than 48 hours notice) it looks a lot like that. It means we can’t earn money. As ambitious, hardworking people trying to make the world a prettier place, that drives us nutty… and that’s not good for anyone.

So if you have to cancel, no problem.  Life happens, we know. But we’re showing up ready to make the magic happen. So please give us the courtesy of 48 hours notice, and we’ll be happy to see you at your next appointment.  Less than 48 hours notice, we’ll still be happy to see you at your next appointment, but we’re going to charge you anyway in accordance with our policy.  To read more about the official cancellation, no show or late for appointment policy as well as other policies click here.  P.S. Please don’t hate us because we have policies.

What’s the difference between a half and full head of highlights?

We get it- understanding the difference between a half and full head of highlights can be confusing when you’re not a stylist.

If this is your first time getting highlights or it’s been a long time since your last appointment (more than 6 months), we generally recommend booking a full head instead of a half. That’s because the full head means you’ll have highlights throughout your hair- the top, the sides, and the back! If you’re needing a half head of highlights, keep in mind that your stylist will be focusing on the top and sides of your hair and that the back section will be untouched. Remember, when in doubt, give us a call or book a consultation!

What’s the difference between a dual custom and a specialty color?

When it comes to the most on trend hair colors, they typically fall within a custom technique or a specialty color. Where full and half head highlights will only focus on one technique, a custom technique will create dimension by using, you guessed it, two techniques!

Now, when it comes to a specialty color, you’re in for a transformation, an all-day sort of color, and a big change. Specialty colors use more than two techniques, and go above and beyond any typical color service. Remember, when in doubt, give us a call or book a consultation!

What’s the difference between all over color and lightening hair?

All over color includes a permanent and/or demi color applied root to ends to achieve an overall solid color. Highlights are not included. It is generally used to achieve more depth and richness, or to go darker all over. It’s also great for all over grey coverage. Our Platinum Blonde is our lightening service from scalp to ends with no foils followed by a toner. Remember, when in doubt, give us a call or book a consultation!

Why does my appointment require so much time?

It’s simple, really. We would rather have more time and not need it than need more time and not have it! That’s why our stylists never rush and never compromise the integrity of your hair. Although we tend to think of our team as hair magicians, creating modern styles typically takes multiple hours and/or multiple sessions. Please keep in mind that our set timing typically reflects the amount of time that your stylist will need in order to achieve your desired look. Our most sought-after color services typically take anywhere from 2.5 to 5 hours and can vary depending on your hair length, density and overall goals. If you’re concerned about timing or would like to learn more, don’t hesitate to contact our team or book a consultation.

What’s included in my service?

We’re so happy that you asked! At Artistry Hair Company, we’re all about making sure that every experience is nothing short of incredible which is why all of our services include a complimentary wash, blowout, and style.

Our stylists are trained to know exactly what it takes to make your hair dreams come true. That’s why if your hair requires a little extra something - something that isn’t included in your service, such as a conditioning or smoothing treatment, additional toning techniques, or another unscheduled service, we’ll always make a professional recommendation and keep you in the loop every step of the way.

What is a CBD Smoothing Treatment?

It’s specifically formulated for use with the Leaf & Flower CBD Corrective Complex Boost to help provide immediate repair to dry, damaged hair.

What is a Brazilian Blowout Smoothing Treatment?

Through the use of breakthrough bonding technologies, this customizable smoothing treatment actually improves the condition of the hair by creating a protective protein layer around the hair shaft to eliminate frizz and smooth the cuticle for up to 12 weeks!

The hair will be left totally frizz-free, shiny, effortlessly manageable and with plenty of body and bounce. There will still be the option to wear hair curly/wavy (depending on the hair type) and the freedom to blow dry hair smooth and straight in a fraction of the time invested prior to receiving the treatment.
